GASTRIC SLEEVE
Gastric sleeve surgery is a surgical procedure which consists of making the stomach’s capacity for food intake smaller, so the patient feels satisfied by eating a smaller amount of food. This procedure is performed laparoscopically.
Furthermore, it has been studied that in the portion of the stomach that is removed from the body there are cells that produce a substance called Ghrelin, which is related to lack of satiety when eating.
